Consumer Electronics Media Identification

With the proliferation of digital files in use today, Audible Magic can provide consumer electronics device developers an easy to implement content identification solution allowing for the display of accurate metadata such as song titles, artist names, and links to album art and electronic commerce. Components of what Audible Magic can provide are:

• CE Content Identification Plug-In — This SDK enables media devices to quickly and accurately generate information needed to lookup the identity of the content in an Audible Magic central server.
• Managed Identification Services — Audible Magic’s fingerprinting technology has even greater value because of its integration with one of the world’s largest music reference databases. This database has been developed and maintained with the support of partners such as Loudeye Technologies, SESAC, and CMJ Network, as well as participation from the major record labels and the RIAA. The database today identifies over 6 million recorded songs with new content added daily.
• Media Playing Device Patent — Audible Magic was recently granted a U.S. Patent for the use of analytical representations such as digital signatures for identifying content presented on a media playing device. This patent US6834308 was granted on December 21, 2004.

Peer-to-Peer File Sharing Media Identification

Audible Magic can provide peer-to-peer file sharing network developers an easy to implement content identification solution allowing for the filtering and/or monetization of user activity.
