Solution Aimed at Dissolving UGV Business-Model Challenges to Preview at IBC 2007

(Sterling, VA & Los Gatos, CA – September 4, 2007) Today Anystream, the media automation platform used by more than 700 media organizations worldwide and Audible Magic, the industry’s top provider of content recognition technology announced an exclusive partnership to enable content identification processes to be seamlessly incorporated in UGV production workflows. The partnership will offer the digital media space a unique solution aimed at eliminating the UGV business model challenges that have popular Internet video-sharing sites struggling to avoid unintentional copyright infringement.

“The solution we developed with Audible Magic will enable content and service providers to further automate the management, manufacturing and control of media as a part of their everyday production and business processes,” said Anystream Media VP of Products Russell Zack. “We believe that it is imperative for this process to be embedded in content creation and distribution workflows.”

The new solution will combine the industry’s leading content registration and identification service with the production component of the Anystream platform to automate the registration, ingest and verification of UGV content before publishing it to the Web. By automatically fingerprinting content with associated metadata and publishing it to the Audible Magic content database for registration, the new UGV solution will enable content owners to easily identify their content in the wild. When used by aggregators, automatic ingest and format conversions will run simultaneously to the registered fingerprint checks, enabling video to be flagged for review or removal prior to publishing.

“The ability to process and manage massive amounts of media files is essential to breaking down barriers for new digital business models,” said Vance Ikezoye, Audible Magic’s CEO. “This new partnership with Anystream will make it efficient and easy for our content aggregator customers and content partners to integrate Audible Magic’s content identification platform into their digital media management ecosystems.”
