Audible Magic to Demo New Cross-Platform Interactive Ad System at CES.

Las Vegas, NV—January 13, 2013—Accelerated Media, a marketing firm that provides analytic and strategic iTV (interactive TV) services to advertisers, and Audible Magic, the leader in automated content recognition (ACR) systems and services, announced that they are joining forces to offer advertisers a more compelling and potentially more rewarding interactive ad experience. The centerpiece of this joint effort, a new cross-platform interactive ad system, will be demonstrated at the Audible Magic booth #75314 in Eureka Park, located in the Venetian at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas January 8-11.

The system, developed by Audible Magic uses Audible Magic’s SmartID™ ACR solution to identify content being shown on TV and, in real time, relay that information to other technology platforms such as smart phones or tablets. This enables advertisers to offer viewers an array of interactive opportunities from learning more about a product to a getting a coupon or other special savings offer tailored specifically to the viewer’s personal tastes, geographic location, and other variables. Accelerated Media will help advertisers make the most of this new capability, providing them with a comprehensive end-to-end service that engages consumers more fully and enables advertisers to maximize their revenue streams.

“Interactive advertising is a real game-changer in the home entertainment environment,” said Doug McGary, CTO of Accelerated Media. “One vital component to making it a pervasive and profitable reality for companies is ACR, the ability to recognize content and make meaningful connections between technology platforms whether they’re televisions or tablets. And, among the ACR companies out there, Audible Magic provides the most advanced and robust solution available. We’re delighted to be working with the ACR leader to deliver a comprehensive turnkey experience to our clients.”

“Accelerated Media is a true pathfinder for companies entering the challenging and potentially very rewarding world of interactive advertising,” added Jay Friedman, VP of Marketing for Audible Magic. “At a time when every marketing dollar matters more than ever, this firm knows how to help companies get the most out of their investments and make the most of emerging opportunities in a fast-evolving landscape. Its expertise will prove more and more valuable to companies as interactive advertising becomes less of a novelty for them and more a way of life.”
